Here’s my View from the Kiosk for Saturday the 11th of May
Another gorgeous day. The sun was shining and I was able to work dressed in a long sleeve tee and no ugly green sweatshirt. Yes, I also wore pants...... Not a lot going on in the park, but a lot of visitors stopped by. I think I handed out about 250 maps and helped well over 500 people.
#1 Best Question? A lady came at me waving a plastic knife and asking me if I had a garbage can. This was scary and odd………..
#1 Funny Interaction? “Where is John Lennon Square?”
#2 Weirdest Interaction? “Do you have any tissues?”
Most British? The British visitors are among my favorite at the kiosk. When I give them a free map, they either say, “BRILLIANT!” Or “LOVELY!”
Most German? The Germans always ask “A Plan, please”. And they usually ask with a very severe and serious tone. Today, I had a woman who approached and was singing! “A Plan! , A Plan! A Free Plan! please!!!!!!!”. ? Not sure if she was just a nut or liked to sing requests. In any case, I thought she was cool.
Visitors? Debby Goldman, our newest certified park volunteer came to visit and even help out!
#1 most asked question other than “where is Strawberry Fields?’ “Where is the Museum of Natural History”
Most Popular Language? Believe it or not, today’s most popular language was…… English!
Lastly, on the way out of the park, I noticed this nice little nest that the birds are making on Daniel Webster
